Motorcycle Riders Foundation Seeking Vice President of Governmental
Affairs and Public Relations for the Washington D.C. Office
The Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF), headquartered in Washington D.C., is expanding its search for a qualified candidate for the position of Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Public Relations to join our staff. Founded in 1985, the MRF’s mission is to continue developing an aggressive independent national advocate for the advancement of motorcycling and its associated lifestyle that is financially stable and exceeds the needs of motorcycling enthusiasts. In order to maintain a strong, daily presence on Capitol Hill, the MRF is looking to fill this role quickly. Persons with the talent and desire to serve in this exciting, yet challenging, role are encouraged to make their interest known to the selection committee.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate grass roots activity between the MRF and our Sustaining State Motorcyclist Rights Organizations partners and other identified motorcyclist organizations
MRF Lobbyist on the Hill carrying out our Legislative Agenda as set by our membership
Administration of our Washington D.C. operations
Maintain working relationships with relevant federal agencies
Responsible for overseeing the MRF’s communications, press releases, informational releases, and position papers
Assist in marketing and fundraising with our Sustaining State Motorcyclists Rights Organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
Congressional staff experience
Lobbyist experience
Experience in policy advocacy
Experience in grass roots organizations
General management experience in a non-profit
Presentation and Public Speaking experience
