Should be doing things other than being on here but saw this one on Craigslist last PM & wondering where one would start one these projects.
Mechanically no problem, what I didn't know how to do (ex. locksmithing) I could hire out but the paperwork! - Will the next owner just have to give up & part them out?

Spelling & formatting are by seller

Shouldn't the seller go through the DMV first to do a title search?

In California there is a way to obtain a new cert. of ownership. It requires you to send a registered letter to the last registered owner. When it is undeliverable, you can take it to the DMV and they have a process you go through to get one. Pain in the butt but it is possible.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Looks like a scam to me. I copied this GTO post I ran across recently. A cherry 72 goat for $800, yeah and it comes with a free bridge.

I hear this lady is a CA DMV magician:

    Professional Registration Service
    Donna Leak
    530-320-5708

I'm not affiliated and I have no personal experience with the service. But I wish I had taken advantage of it *BEFORE* spending $$$ on my CB. I suspect it could have saved me MUCH grief and money.

Dealing with CA DMV can be worse than crawling naked through hot coals.

    Best of luck... and beware!!

I had a first cousin that died. His wife GAVE me an old bike. It was an 89 yamer 550. Since then, she passed away. Totally unable to get a title in Fla without buying a frame with atitle.
