As Thanksgiving draws closer, we use this time to give thanks for our family, friends, jobs, and other important attributes in our lives. While we are usually surrounded by loved ones during this time period, we must not forget the Veterans that gave up so much of their lives, and now have so little to be thankful for. In an effort to raise awareness and funds for the homeless Veterans in our area during the Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Day time periods, VEMA is conducting a “Helping our Homeless Vets” charity motorcycle ride to provide financial assistance to the VFW Homeless Vets Program. The VFW program will use the money from this event to help provide food, clothing, and camping gear to help these homeless vets.
