The 17th Annual Riding Into History Motorcycle Concours
Riding Into History, one of America’s premier vintage motorcycle events, will return to the beautiful World Golf Village near St. Augustine, Florida on May 21, 2016. Our Grand Marshal is Malcolm Smith, the Motorcyclist of the Century!
On Saturday, May 21, 2016 we feature the Motorcycle Concours d’Elegance, beginning at 10 AM, with a charity ride to the event leaving from Adamec Harley Davidson.
All of the proceeds from Riding Into History will benefit the Ponte Vedra, FL based charity, K9s for Warriors, www.k9sforwarriors.org. With all the help and support from our sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and spectators, we were able to make a $40K donation to K9s For Warriors. To date, Riding Into History has raised over $400,000 for charity.
The event is presented by Riding Into History Inc., a 501(c)3 not for profit organization comprised entirely of volunteer members from several motorcycle organizations, led by the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Northeast Florida (BMWNEF). The Historic Motorcycle Society (HMS), Chrome Divas of Jacksonville Beach, Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA), VJMC, and the AMCA Sunshine Chapter all lend support to the event.
Between 300 and 350 antique, vintage and classic motorcycles from all over the country are expected to enter the Concours, which this year honors “Viva Moto Europa”. Thousands of spectators are once again expected to enjoy the event, which also includes exhibitors, vendors, entertainment, clubs and a variety of food. Admission is only $10 at the gate for the Concours.
Late internationally known motorcycle artist Don Bradley started the original artwork for this year’s poster. His daughter, Veronica Naas has done a beautiful job finishing the poster. We lost Don last year in March. His artistic contribution to Riding Into History will always be celebrated at our event.
Sponsors for the event include Sargent Cycle Products, Adamec Harley-Davidson, BMWNEF, VyStar Credit Union, BMW Motorcycles of Jacksonville, Folio Weekly, AMCA Sunshine Chapter, Mercedes-Benz, C Hill Concepts Web Design, and MotoEuro Garage.
The World Golf Village is located just north of St. Augustine on I-95, exit 323.
