In keeping with a tradition that was started in 2012 when a group of local businesses combined their efforts to put together a motorcycle/vehicle ride creating what is known as the “Fallen Officers of Harford County Memorial Ride”.
On a chilly Saturday morning in November that year approximately 500 people poured out their support for these officers’ families by participating in this ride. These riders along with the efforts of local business sponsors collectively raised over $20,000.00 to help. Sadly each year since then due to illnesses or other reasons we have needed to add names of Harford Countyofficers to this list.
Tragically the events of this past February has brought to light again the needs of Harford County Police Officers’ families. The outpouring from this community has been phenomenal, with local benefits from restaurants, bars and other businesses.
We are going to continue in our tradition started 4 years ago to show the community in supporting these families, by having our “Fallen Officers of Harford County Memorial Ride” on May 21 2016 starting at Mountain Christian Church following an “escorted” scenic country ride to Chesapeake Harley-Davidson.
We know many of you have contributed to the funds for this recent tragedy, but we are hoping for your support by joining us on the ride. 100% of what we collect goes to the families.
This year's event will be held on Saturday, May 21st 2016. Please join us to remember those fallen officers and help collect funds to support the families in need and future families. This event comprises of a 40-mile scenic ride through Harford County, that is open to all types of motor vehicles, followed by festivities at the conclusion of the ride. Ending at Chesapeake Harley Davidson.
Tickets will be $20/person. Tickets will be on sale at Chesapeake Harley Davidson, AutoPros of Aberdeen and online soon. Remaining tickets will also be available at the Mountain Christian Church starting point of the ride beginning at 8am. Kickstands up at 10:00am.
