Drive Smart and Rocky Mountain Harley Davidson have teamed up for their first Front Range Foothills Motorcycle Safety Ride. It’s FREE! Check in at Rocky Mountain Harley Davidson’s C470 & County Line location at 9:00am Saturday September 17th. Get free bike maintenance, riding, and safety advice from both Harley Davidson techs and Motorcycle Safety Foundation and HD Certified Riding Coaches. Then take off south for an awesome ride through the beautiful roadways of our Colorado Front Range Foothills.

The ride will track south on State Hwy 67 and other roadways to Deckers. Riders will then head back north on Colorado Road 126/Deckers Rd through the historic Town of Pine Grove, traveling on up to the Conifer-Evergreen area for lunch. For those with the energy, continue on after lunch over Squaw Pass and back down through Idaho Springs to Evergreen for a post ride get together at The Wild Game in Bergen Park. The purpose of the ride, besides having fun, is to increase awareness of the variable road conditions and other hazards encountered when riding in the Front Range foothills, and to absorb, process and share that information in a manner that can help us all have a safer riding experience on the Colorado Front Range where motorcycle fatalities occur at significantly higher rates than elsewhere in the state. Conifer and Evergreen restaurants and taverns will provide food discounts for ride participants. .Maps of the ride’s route will be provided to all riders with a focus on experiencing different terrain and road conditions to help riders observe and negotiate the variable conditions and risks encountered when riding in the foothills.
