The official date of Dawson's Ride this year is June 24th, 2017. Our starting point is the VFW. This will also be our ending point.

Registration starts at 9:00 am and the ride will leave at 12:00 pm. Rider cost is $20 and passenger is $10 (includes the meal). For those who are not able to ride a bike or do not have a bike and want to drive their vehicle, driver is also $20 and $5 a passenger. We will hand out bracelets at registration. There will also be last year's attire and there will be new attire at the ride this year. I will be posting the attire at a later time when we have it gathered up and more details will be provided.

A pig will be provided by Righteous Oaks Farm LCC out of Aitkin, and Steve and Nelly Portz will be donating their time to roast the pig after we arrive back at the VFW. Corn on the cob, potatoes, Cole slaw and other food items we are coming up with. I will post at a later time exactly what the dinner will be.

We are having another silent auction. We are looking for donations for the auction starting now. We will also be posting up flyers online as well as surrounding areas once the route is posted. The route itself will be posted as well as all of the stops along the way.

We are looking for volunteers to help with registration, auction set up, road stoppers, passing out flyers, receiving donations, and much more.

We will be having live bands play during dinner and the auction for entertainment. All alcohol sales go straight to the VFW. Please do not bring your own.

We are Leaving from the VFW in Aitkin down HWY 47 to County Road 4 to HWY 65 to the first stop at Jack's Shack. That is 26 miles. From there down 65 to HWY 18 over to HWY 47, our second stop is at Hunters Point. That is 31 miles. Then north on hwy 47 to hwy 18 to hwy 169 to the Harbor Inn. That is 23 miles. Then north on 169 back to VFW. That is 19 miles.

Hunter's Point and Jack's Shack will have door prizes when we enter the facilities. They will both have a hoody or a T-shirt for the winner of the drawing. There is no specific size until the winner announces what size they are or want. Only one winner for both places. The Harbor Inn, we are doing a 50/50 drawing prize. Tickets will be sold at $1.00 a piece. All the money that is raised from the total amount from the tickets, half will go to the winner, and the other half will go to the Dawson Strong Ride for HCMC Trauma Center for children.
