The 5th Annual Ride-On 4 Carrie Charity Bike Run will take place on Saturday, September 8th, 2018... We will again be leaving from and returning to Mama G's in Maple Grove ~ the RO4C headquarters for the last three years.
The day’s events again this year include a fantastic breakfast catered by Maynard's at Mama G's, a 130+ mile road guarded run with 4 stops and all day fun and games ~ The day will be capped off with dinner catered by Mama G's, a live auction and as always, great live music from Strange Daze!
For those of you that don't know the RO4C's mission ~ Funds raised by the RO4C are donated in Carrie's name to persons and families in the midst of their own personal cancer battles ~ Our main beneficiary for this event is cancer warrior Jaxson Peterson... Jaxson is a three year old from Buffalo, MN who just a few months after his second birthday (June of 2017) was diagnosed with High Risk B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Little Jax spent most of his two year old life at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis where he has undergone three bone marrow biopsies, over 22 spinal taps, uncountable blood and platelet transfusions, and numerous other cancer treatment procedures. Jaxson’s continued care will consist of chemotherapy and more spinal taps along with oral meds and steroids for about another three years. Although there will be necessary physical and other continued therapy's ~ The plan is for Jaxson to be hopefully finishing up his chemotherapy soon after starting kindergarten...
Supporting funds from our 5th Annual RO4C Bike Run will be donated to Jaxson's family for his continued care and mounting medical bills. As always, the whole RO4C Crew is looking forward to being able to help Jaxson and others with the support of all of you ... Nobody Should Stand Alone
