If I count the Honda Express I had when I was 15, I could say I've been riding "off and on" for over 30 years :) Truth is, I rode pillion for a few years in my 20's and didn't learn to ride my own til 2002, the year I turned 40. I started riding on an early-80's Yamaha "Exciter" 250 (commuter bike); bought a brand new Honda Shadow 750 the next season, and bought an HD 883 Sportster in 2005. Called her The Picky Bitch and we had TONS of wonderful adventures together. Then in 2009, a month before going to Sturgis, I bought a 2007 HD Sportster 1200 Custom. She's sleek and beautiful but doesn't have a name yet, but we bonded pretty good going out to Sturgis.
