  Turning off your motorcycle

  Do you put the bike in neutral first?  I do automatically every time. Do you use the kill (on/off) switch and then turn off the ignition on the dash?...  moreDo you put the bike in neutral first?  I do automatically every time. Do you use the kill (on/off) switch and then turn off the ignition on the dash? I don't.                          OR Do you NOT use the kill switch but simply turn off the ignition on the dash? I do.  Using the kill switch and the ignition switch to turn off the bike is kind of a jinx thing for me.  I believe it is unnecessary wear on the kill switch, decreasing the life expectancy.  And since I have to turn off the ignition on the dash anyway there's no need to mess with the kill switch.  And, the ignition switch is a helluva lot easier to fix/replace than the kill switch. On my shovel head?  Same scenario except that like Aquadave, I shut off the gas.  less

  oil change

  Harley has the most screwed up oil system but I use it to my advantage. to over come the oil left in the case, I do this. Harley's oil system goes oil tank to pump to engine to filter to tank since there is no plug in the...  moreHarley has the most screwed up oil system but I use it to my advantage. to over come the oil left in the case, I do this. Harley's oil system goes oil tank to pump to engine to filter to tank since there is no plug in the case, after draining the oil I put a pan under the filter before installing the filter I put 2 qts in the tank, crank the motor and watch the oil drain into the pan until it's clean. it really works. Never run your engine dry of oil!!!!!

I learned to play the piano at Officer's Club happy hours, so here I am." The barkeep wasn't too sure about this doubtful looking old guy, but it had been quite a while since he had a piano player and business was falling off. So, why not give him a try. The seedy pilot staggered his way over to the piano while several patrons snickered at the old man.   Where Were YOU 50 Years Ago Today - JFK

  Everyone who is at least my age remembers exactly where they were when the announcement was made that President Kennedy has been shot. Even though I was only 5 years old, I remember it vividly (probably the only thing I do remember from that...  moreEveryone who is at least my age remembers exactly where they were when the announcement was made that President Kennedy has been shot. Even though I was only 5 years old, I remember it vividly (probably the only thing I do remember from that young).  My mother had just picked me up from kindergarden and I was sitting at the table eating a snack.  I heard my mother crying on the phone, crying like I had never heard.  Then she told me that someone shot President Kennedy.  She put me in the car and we went to Church.  My sister was still in school that was a part of the Church (we went to Catholic School).  My mom knelt there and prayed for over an hour until my sister got out of school.  I remember lots of people coming into the Church crying and talking... my mother never said a word, she just knelt there crying and praying.  By the time we had gotten home with my sister my dad had left work early and was just sitting in front on the TV staring.  less
