    Sportster Streetfighter build.
This is my old sporty that is getting re-vamped as a streetfighter. This bike has gone back and forth between me and a friend of mine, has been in many guises but this is probably going to be its most interesting. Will keep you posted as it progresses.

Harley has had a working patent for a few years now and a few factors have lead me to speculate this may be the year. 1) It's the 110 anniversary. A great time to introduce a new technology. (maybe in the 110ci) 2) Harley has been progressivley increasing displacement, increasing the need for more efficient cooling. 3) For the first time (as far as I know), HD has released emmisions data to the state of California with sepreate results for touring models. Previously, touring, dyna and softails were listed together. 4) In order to meet the future EPA requirements HD will inevitably (IMO) go to liquid (coolant) cooled heads. The public will have to get used to the idea and touring bike owners would be the most likely canidates to accept that change. What do you guys/gals think? Hello from Longview, TX
I had a breakdown on my XR1200 on Sunday. rufcut and his wife were kind enough to stop. They called their son and he hauled my motorcycle home (about 100 miles away). Big thanks to him! ~Joe

Being a single guy (again) back then I couldn't get a date in a room full of Hookers with $100 bills hanging out of my pockets. Not sure why they didn't like the accent, guess it sounded a bit too Hillbilly for the snootly California Sun girls. Well I knew I had to change something and I did, and it made all the difference in the world. OK Single guys out there that are struggling here is my secret..........When I went out on the town, heck I just changed my Accent and started using an English accent, and WOW what a change. All the women would want to hang out with me and talk to me just to listen to the accent. Now here is the draw back.....you had better damn well know something about Jolly Old England and I found out the hard way when I met this little Fox from ...yep England. My cover was blown. So to the JetMan, Boof and G with the...    less

So, in the first post, I see a Sportster with a Green frame and tank and another Sportster with a Maroon frame and tank.

Are you building the Green one and using the Maroon one (along with the Buell) for parts? You probably stated that somewhere, but I missed it.

If that swingarm doesn't work for you, I'd imagine an XR1200 swingarm would be much less and fit in there easier. Just FYI.

A guy here at work has one of these. Very nice! He's on 2nd shift, though, and I've never managed to meet him yet. I left him notes on his bike and everything. Nothing!

I ride a 2009 Sportster XR1200, and it came with oil cooled heads.

I see H-D as looking into this issue.
