  Looks like you've planned out a great little scoot across the country. my only suggestion is to see what you want in Montana and then drop south through Yellowstone and head east across the Beartooth Highway (11000 ft) and then into South Dakota. as Rex the Road Dog said snow is a possibility in September but the last time i was on the Beartooth it was the first week in Sept. and all was well.

  my next ride is always my favorite. this year just happens to be Colorado. Million Dollar Highway, Royal Gorge, Black Canyon and more 10,000 foot passes than you can shake a stick at.
