Here are some reasons we may not recognize the answer in a short time period: Sometimes God has to prepare US for His answer to the prayer; there are times when His will, which is always better, doesn't coincide with our will and we miss the answer; sometimes God's answer is no and then you just trust Him; sometimes its yes, but not now; on-going sin in our life can cut us off from close fellowship with God and answered prayer; and sometimes the answer is immediate.  less
