    Ah...the cold, and five reasons why I HATE it.
    #5.  I'm not a popsicle.  #4. I hate clothes.  #3. I hate shoes.  #2. It don't snow in Florida, it's just windy...and COLD.   And the number one reason, I hate the cold... #1.     Here's the deal.   I've ridden hard throughout my 64 years (45 in the wind).  I've ridden long.  I've ridden steady. I've ridden head up in the rain, wind, and snow.  But now my ass hurts after 4 hours in...  moreHere's the deal.   I've ridden hard throughout my 64 years (45 in the wind).  I've ridden long.  I've ridden steady. Yeah, us old dudes tend to lose our backside cushion.  Oh, and just so ya know.  There's also a phenomenon of fatty tissue loss in the balls of our feet, making it feel like we are walking on rocks; both especially true in many diabetics (guilty). End of lesson one,   and to the point.  Gel pads?  Anyone try 'em?  I can't see how anything is gonna make a difference when you spend a day in the saddle.  And I'm not prone to shelling out cash only to find out something ain't worth it.  I'd just as soon tough it out.     In addition to pulling the trailer she has been figuring out what to throw in the saddle bags and still wants to use a rally pack! And we are only camping for 2 nights!! Purchased it mainly for what is now our by-annual run to Sturgis, I can only imagine....

    Thanks for the advice Lucky! Get well soon! Going to get my first taste of pulling it for a longer distance next weekend when we head camping in Wisconsin. It has a rated capacity of 200lbs behind a bike, hoping my significant other does not throw that much in but we will see!

    Here is my new trailer.  It is the low cost model from Harbor Freight with some mods.  Moved the shell back 4 inches, added LED lights mounted on the back of the shell for added visibility, and made a cooler rack.  Loaded it up and took on a short run yesterday and it handled very well, except at low speed (bumps) I could hardly notice it was there.

    I'm fortunate, my son, a recent boot camp graduate, is home for the holidays. Cherishing the time with him since I don't know where he will be once he completes his training. Holiday wishes and prayers to those who are not able to have theirs home. Wishing for their safety so we can have them around for many future holiday seasons.

    I agree with Tweek on all points except not liking shoes, feet are too bad to go without them! Here in Minnesota we are getting frost everynight and mid 40's for highs. Was riding then one day it set in. Now done for a number of months. Brings a tear to me eye seeing the bike in the corner covered up!
