In 1999, Tabitha was diagnosed with stage 3B breast cancer at the age of 33. We are honored to say that Lady Tabitha is now a 20-year survivor and she vows to support women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer as well as their loved ones. Lady Tabitha is also passionate about supporting women who are victims of domestic violence. She believes many organizations support breast cancer; however, there are many women who are suffering secretly from domestic violence.

As a result, Peace On the Move a 501 (c)(3) organization of Atlanta, GA and Tabitha have married the two causes to support individuals who are currently being treated for breast cancer and those that are actively fleeing an abuser thus establishing the annual Shades of Pink 5K Run/Walk. Tabitha feels it is important for people to wear their story, whether it is “pink” for breast cancer or “purple” for domestic violence, therefore coining the phrase “Shades of Pink."

Shades of Pink provides benevolence to individuals and their families battling breast cancer and domestic violence. Hosting events, such as our annual 5K Walk/Run and more. We have also established a partnership with Emory Decatur & Winship Cancer Centers, called, "Shades of Pink Warming Hearts." Funds raised cover shelter, nutrition, transportation, and much more.

Our goal is to raise capital to assist in Shades of Pink becoming an established foundation in the Atlanta metro area, allowing us to continue serving individuals facing breast cancer, domestic violence, and new areas such as mentoring, nutrition program, housing assistance, and more.  less
