    High Beam Problem
Found my problem. It was my aftermarket LED Headlight. I think the little black box attached to the light burned out and was causing my problems. I switched back to the stock lights this morning and everything works great. Thanks for your help

  • Ta2ddad30 Also the problem is I am losing power to my high beam somewhere between the switch and the light. I have power coming out of the switch but not getting it at the light.

So far I have checked all connections to the battery. I only have a master fuse block(with a main fuse, battery fuse, and P/A fuse) all these fuses are good. I have power to the switch. I have also checked all accessible wiring.

I know there is a relay/diode somewhere in line between the switch and headlamps but I can’t find it to check it.  less

And... that is how they are supposed to work. When High beams are on the aux lights are off. That is required by most states, and I believe federal too. There are ways around it but that usually requires a schematic for your bike. I do not know where the relays are on your bike but that info can also be found in a service manual. I'm 99.99 % sure there is a headlight relay. I did a quick search on google and came up with lots of info. Search "heritage softail headlight...    less

    • Ta2ddad30 Thanks for you answer. Found out from the dealership there is no relays. The new bikes a BCMs and sealed switches. But they want $200 to tell me which $500 repair to make

    • Lucky That is athe way they are designed to function. Same with cars with factory fog lights... turn on high beams & the fog lights go off. Check this old post, may help... https://www.cyclefish.com/forums/topic/127670/keeping-the-highway-lights-on-with-high-beams
