  • Message I am independently owned and operated right now and have been since the big D word 7 years ago. Had one GF for 6 years, been single last year. She was perfect but could not handle my Job. I am gone a lot home every two or three days and one period of 58 hours off once a week where I ride extensively. I have put 74K on my other bike a Roadstar converted to an Ultrastar and Just got the Venture and already have 12K miles on it in two months of riding. I love the Smokey Mountains and all that is there. But Right here in Ohio has some easy to get to roads in 58 hours. I bought/made a trailer to do more Motorcycle camping. Its been just me for a year.
I am a real rider, Hard Charger, I have done several Iron Butt runs and my name is there to prove it. I go in all weather, and yes I have ridden through snow storms. I have had my bike which is a Touring bike over 1000lbs OFF ROAD! I have a decal on my bike that says..... Don't follow me..... you won't make it! As a former Military photographer, I still love photography and I am just getting into the Go pro stuff, shooting lots of footage for when I will have time to put it all together. I'm an old film guy and not up to speed on all this new stuff but I have a powerful computer built just to run Power Director 13. I will have to figure it out when I get there. I love taking trips, going to scenic places and taking pictures and riding on roads no one knows. If it's curvy, I love it, If it runs along a river or water even better. Just got back from the Tail of the Dragon and Gatlinburg by way of WV 219. Most recently I went to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. Historic US 6 going over and Curvy 144 down to Snow Shoe and back. Next up Skyline drive? Who really knows, thats how I am, everything is a surprise, I know when I leave.

I have heard a guy had same problem and it turned out to be the thing that screws on top of the spark plug was loose and sending some sort of fault to the computer. At least thats what the dealer told him, he was complaining he paid $300 to get the tip of the spark plug tightened. If it happens in rain its about sure to be an electrical issue. After you check the screws on top of the plugs. Start the bike in total darkness, use a spray bottle to spray a fine mist of water around electrical areas like the plug wires and coils. If you see blue flashes, there is your problem. Replace whatever they are coming from.
