Finally some 70+ in Richmond VA...infact went from 60 odd to 85 this week...been taking those longer routes to get back home from wherever I am to just enjoy the Ride!
I frankly love riding in some light drizzle...so looking forward to the rains tomorrow

Nice to be home to cool comfortable So Cal Weather, because I have seen everything but in the past week!!!

Monday I left here for Arizona Bike Week - pulling the trailer behind the bike for the first time. Hit a hail storm an hour into the ride, then a sand storm just outside Palm Springs. Rained on me all the way to Scottsdale and I had to set up my tent in the rain.

Rest of the week was normal desert weather 90° and sunny with kind of chilly nights.

On the way home yesterday I hit the worst wind/sand storm I had EVER rode in. Signs were blowing down and I even saw a camper that had blown over. Since I was riding like 25 mph with my trailer behind me it took me like an hour to get through it. Even had my windshield blow off when I parked for gas with my back to the wind.

Oh, it is good to be back in So Cal. Looking at 78° and sunny today!

Wow glad ya made it back in one piece !!! Out of curiousity Lucky,do you take any special steps dressing or changing out clothes in a dust storm like that?
The worst I have ever rode thru like tht, and that was short distance,is along the coast here on windy days lots of sand blows across the road.

Normally I would just make sure I am covered completely. Since its pretty hot in most of them a thick long sleeve t-shirt, full gloves, face mask (ski mask type to protect the entire face and neck) and GOGGLES. Pretty much the only time I wear goggles is in sand storms.

But yesterday's sand storm was hurting even through my jeans and long shirt - it was blowing strong enough that there were small rocks, small branches and trash hitting me. I went to full leather with my rain suit over it.

Thanks for the post,I suspected you would be forced put on extra protection.The goggles are a good idea I am going to pick up a pair before I head south next time around.

In a word SH1T. Mid 30sF, 3 to 7 inches of snow expected before tomorrow night. And this on the flatlands of Colorado.

60 and thunder storms --- at least it was beautiful yesterday

 Rain, sleet, later snow with temp around 34. Yes, I know it's APRIL something! Ugh!  

Been windy as heck here,gusting up to 25-30 out of the north mostly temps in the mid to low 60's

Great day rode to cycle shack for spring maintenance supplies then to jackass flats for my first bike night this year

74 degrees...but thunderstorms off and on all day. LoudMouth sleeps in the garage.

Beauty day in Darrington WA. 65* and sunny... well a few clouds... and a few sprinkles but whathehell right? Took a shorty (55 mi) and was blessed with a rainbow... Good stuff!

24 degrees this morning, Had 3 or more inches snow last night. I guess no riding today.
